I started my pet career in a simple pet store, caring for puppies, kittens, and a variety of small animals. From that point, I went to work as a bather at PetSmart. Shortly after I started bathing, I went through the schooling to become a pet stylist. 

After working as a pet groomer for several facilities in both Arizona and Idaho, my wife, Anna, and I decided it was time to open our own shop! We made it our goal to have a place where all pets could come and receive the quality, loving care that they deserve. We also wanted a place where employees are respected and encouraged to be their authentic selves. We wished to foster growth and comfort between the pets, employees, and wonderful clients. 

Over twenty years of grooming pets has left me with many fond memories. I am now on the tailing end of my grooming career and will soon be moving into a strictly managerial role with The Pet Groomers. I am looking forward to many more years ensuring the ethical, loving treatment of pets and employees!

Born and raised in Boise, I began my career in the grooming industry in 2008, spending eleven years refining my skills. After years of hard work, The Pet Groomers was founded in 2017.

 In 2019, I stepped away from grooming to focus on family and business ownership. In 2026, I began training and mentoring groomers, helping develop skilled professionals within the industry.
Aside from grooming, I am also passionate about pet adoption and supporting animal welfare. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, creating herbal tea blends, and exploring the beautiful Idaho wilderness where I’m often collecting pretty rocks along the way.

Hi! My name is Becki, and I’m a proud mom, animal lover, and professional pet groomer with over 10 years of grooming experience. I’ve been part of the team at The Pet Groomers for about five years, and for the past three years I’ve served as the salon manager.

At home, I have five pets of my own — four furry babies and one very special sphynx cat. My love for animals extends into my work, where I’ve had the chance to groom all kinds of pets including dogs, cats, bunnies and even trimmed a turtle’s toenails once!

I also enjoy helping grow the next generation of groomers by teaching new students here at The Pet Groomers and sharing the knowledge I’ve gained over the years. Before joining the salon, I owned my own grooming shop in Island Park, Idaho, and my work was even featured in The Idaho State Journal.

I’m CJ! I’ve been grooming for three years, but I’ve been an animal lover since the days I was bringing home snakes as a kid. I’m a proud dad of two and share my home with a dog, two cats, and a bearded dragon. After leaving the medical world, I found my dream job in grooming — where every day comes with fur, fun, and a lot of personality. I've been with The Pet Groomers for a little over 2 years and have loved building meaningful, lasting relationships with my clients and their furry companions.

Hello, I'm Tara! I'm 21 years old and have been with The Pet Groomers for nearly 3 years now. Deciding to become a pet groomer was the best decision of my life and it has provided me with so many unique and rewarding experiences. I truly strive every day to learn more, better myself, and try new things! Through this mindset I have enjoyed working with cats, bunnies, and multiple mediums of creative grooming such as turning a french bulldog into a leopard! Outside the shop I tend to be a homebody, and love spending time with my partner and our four cats, usually watching movies/shows, playing video games, or hyper-fixating on a new craft.

Hi, I’m Emily! I’ve been grooming since 2017 and enjoy working on all breeds, sizes, and personalities of dogs, cats, and small animals. In addition to breed standard and cute pet trims, I also offer special services such as hand-stripping and creative color to bring out the best in every coat. I have one fur baby of my own, a sweet little chihuahua. I strive to ensure each animal in my care feels safe and comfortable. Outside of the salon, I enjoy paddle boarding and tending to my collection of plants.

Hi, my name is Kat! Outside of work I enjoy reading, digital art, playing video games, and being outside with friends. I’ve always loved animals and it’s been a dream of mine to be able to work with them, so when I discovered pet grooming I was immediately drawn to it! I have been with The Pet Groomers for a year now and am excited to train as a groomer so I can make everyone's pet look and feel their best! I look forward to building a relationship with my clients and their furry friends.

My name is Shaylynn, and I’m 23 years old. I am currently a student and have a big heart for dogs. Working with animals has always been something I’ve loved, and I’m excited to continue learning and growing in this field! I pride myself on being patient, attentive, and dedicated to making every dog feel comfortable and cared for during their entire groom. My goal is for every pup to leave looking great and feeling even better!
